Emile “Miles” Guardiano
PRESIDENT
Emile “Miles” Guardiano has been a member of the Philippine American Society of Colorado for nearly 30 years. Beginning with cultural dances at an early age, Miles has been part of the Dance Troupe learning from Tita Tina Estudio and Tita Dolly Banzon, dedicating many Sunday afternoons to dance practices and ultimately becoming a supporting role in major PASCO productions like Kalayaan.
Miles has attended Metropolitan State University of Denver for a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, pursuing a career in Patient Access for SCL Health now known as Intermountain Health. In his spare time, Miles is a Co-Captain of the PASCO Fighting Dragons, the dragon boat team that competes in the annual Colorado Dragon Boat Festival. The team has celebrated many successes but not without challenges along the way.
Over the past 5 years, Miles has regained motivation in becoming an active member of PASCO for many reasons. Reminiscing of days past, Miles wants to rebuild the community he grew up with. Weekly dance practices, Bowling Nights, and a sense of belonging.
Miles has been told many times that the youth are the future of PASCO. However, Miles believes just like Pope John Paul, that the youth are the present and without them, there is no PASCO.
Miles has been driven to rebuild the community as well from the strong belief of his mother Imee Guardiano that knowing and living your heritage should be a part of your everyday life. He looks forward to helping PASCO succeed in bringing back the fun and excitement of the early days while propelling the organization forward.
